Judy Mitchem
Founder

Judy is a senior level marketing and comms strategist with considerable expertise in the education world. She spent over 20 years in leading marketing agencies, becoming Managing Director & CMO of Ogilvy Group and, before that, Group Marketing Director of M&C Saatchi and Chief Marketing Officer of Lowe.

In 2017 she joined the Executive Management team of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), the leading network of schools and academies, where she led the transformation programme to modernise the organisation. She launched the GDST’s ‘Where Girls Learn Without Limits’ multi-media advertising campaign and introduced a pioneering digital strategy to drive recruitment at Sixth Form.

As part of her GDST role, she carried out strategic reviews on each GDST school across the country, helping each of them to draw up a roadmap for growth. Judy also conceived and launched the GDST Summit, a major event for top educationalists and the media, generating positive coverage in the national media.

Judy is a proud Governor of Lambeth Academy, a school within United Learning. She is a member of the WACL women’s leadership network. Having completed the Teach First Summer Institute, she still (secretly) dreams of being an English teacher.

At Angelica Education, she works with a number of Associates, such as creatives, graphic designers, web design specialists and researchers, bringing in specialists according to the brief.

Whilst at EMI, she was awarded the prestigious accolade for the Best Marketing Campaign of 1999. In 2019 she moved to the Beggars Music Group to help them digitalise their music collection.
